How to make classy invites, without spending a fortune

Again, I seem to forget to blog when J isn’t here. Speaking of J, the aforementioned 60 days is the amount of time until J comes home! And by home, I mean back in the apartment, with me.

What I did today:

Made invitations for the wedding. Made Stew. Caught up with friends…(sticky-notes from college). Watched OSU/Nebraska game…actually, the last event is still happening.

Make invitations: We found pretty, fancy invitations online…which would cost us about $455 to buy from the site. We are making ours for about $50. J’s mom painted a beautiful peacock feather, which I cropped and rotated on Photoshop. Using my layout skills from InDesign, I was able to make an over-laid text box for the information, thereby creating a beautiful invitation. Super Excited.

Stew: I made beef stew today. Yum. However, I altered the ingredients. Instead of beef, potatoes, carrots and onion, I made stew with beef, SWEET potatoes, carrots and onion. Super good, and pretty healthy, too!

Caught up with friends: It is always nice to hang out with friends, especially since I don’t get out much. Continuing the fun by watching the game with K and R. Currently, Nebraska 14, OSU 7. Success.
